Project Completion: 2012 Project Role: Jessica Fernandez, Ph.D, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP ND- Project Landscape Architect Size: 25,000 SF of New Construction An outdoor commencement venue was designed as an enjoyable alternative for indoor graduation ceremonies. Terraced steps, a stage, decomposed granite paths, and native plantings combine for a site that fits into its historical campus context and landscape while still accommodating modern uses such as concerts and outdoor learning. *Jessica Fernandez contributed to the Grinnell College Outdoor Commencement Venue while employed by RDG Planning & Design. |
