Missouri Southern State University Billingsly Plaza
Joplin, MO
Client: Missouri Southern State University
Project Completion: 2014
Project Role: Jessica Fernandez, Ph.D, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP ND- Project Design Team
A symbol of school pride, the MSSU Billingsly Plaza provides an icon and photo opportunity in a prominent location on campus. The design encourages users to focus on a large bronze lion statue. Seating walls radiate from this central point, and native plantings soften the plaza's contemporary geometric curves.
